Service

How I am involved in service in my community and why these efforts are important to me:

I am involved within my community through clean up at local parks. I am active through my church youth group and visit with senior citizens, worked with young Native Indians. I have been actively involved with the local non profit Rancho Murieta Entertainment, Theater and Culture.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. One example of how I have demonstrated leadership in both areas:

I lead by example with hard work, positive attitude and vocally encouraging my teammates to stay focused and upbeat. I am a constant positive force and leader within my pier group; always encouraging others to make good decisions.

How I pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete:

I believe I have a balanced approach of combining fats and proteins in my diet. I typically increase my protein intake prior to competition. I also physically condition a minimum of 2 hours per day with a mix of cardio activities and strength/agility. Additionally, I focus on specific skill development a minimum of 7 hours per week.
