I enjoy being in the National Honor Society, helping programs, individuals and groups accomplish their needs and goals.
I feel that the Student Education Committee that I have been a member of since 2010 has truly helped in making some important and key changes to our school. I love being able to have a voice for our student body.
Youth Services Task Force is a honor to be part of. We are involved in making our community a better enviorment. We are lucky enough to listen to educated speakers, students and minorities about very relevant issues in our society.
As a team captain in 2012 for my high school team, I scheduled fun practices after meets to get together. I found it important to have strong team bonding. I would ask my parents to grill for our team so we could meet with each other off the course in a different atmosphere. I found it important to have competition between our teammates, but also to build a comradery among us as well.
I have had made the decision to not follow my peers to parties. I have made the choice not to drink alcohol or smoke. I am very proud of my accomplishments as a healthy athlete on and off the course. I will begin the HEAT program to build my core strength specifically for the game of golf. I am a mentally focused player and take the game very seriously, yet enjoy and appreciate the beauty of each course. I have never used foul language, thrown a club or ball while golfing. I understand that this is a gentlemans game and I feel privedged to be able to play such a truly amazing sport.
