Service

How I am involved in service in my community and why these efforts are important to me:

I have done many can food drives at my school. I help my 4H plant flowers at a near by nursing home and at the Fairgrounds. I also help the special needs students at my school. I help my younger brothers baseball team by teaching the young boys the basics about catching and the over all game of baseball. I have participated in a relay for life walk 2 different years and the autism speaks walk.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. One example of how I have demonstrated leadership in both areas:

I have demonstrated leadership on the field by communicating with my teammates on what I see is going on on the field and I make sure they all have confidence and don't get down. My leadership off the field would be I don't mind taking on the leader roll in any group activities at my school.

How I pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete:

I keep a healthy athletic performance by not eating junk food or drinking a lot of pop. I drink a lot of water and Gatorade. I participate in a lot of other sports or athletic activities to stay in shape.
