Honors

I am a full time Freshman student at Glendale Community College in ARIZONA (2012-2013). I work at NIKE in Scottsdale, Arizona. Through my job at NIKE and through my Softball full ride at G.C.C. I am very athletic and work out every day of the week doing one thing or another. On a day off I run the Mountain early in the morning before the above 100 degree temperatures kick in. I am looking forward to extending my studies and Softball career at a 4 year University.

Service

How I am involved in service in my community and why these efforts are important to me:

2012 - Volunteer North Valley Softball
2011 - Volunteer Thunderbird Football League
2011 - Volunteer Special Olympics through A.P.S.
2011 - Volunteer Rodeo - Parada Del Sol
2010 - Volunteer Coach at North Valley Softball (Fall League)
2010 - Phoenix, Arizona Fire Department
2009 - Special Olympics Softball Program
2009 - The City of Phoenix annual Boo-fest

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. One example of how I have demonstrated leadership in both areas:

I believe in volunteering or helping out when needed. For the past three years I've been helping out the Phoenix Fire Department by selling items at Thunderbird Football games. Just something that simple can mean a lot to many families who have lost their loved ones.

How I pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete:

Summer of 2012 I am taking Fitness class at Glendale Community College along with on-line Honor English class, working at NIKE in Scottsdale, Arizona, Pitching 3 nights/days a week to stay in shape for season. I also run the Mountain early in the morning before the above 100 degree temperatures kick in. I am also a pick up player for local tournaments this summer.
