Personal Highlights

Cory Degner

Ranked No. 44 among state players in the junior class by Wishoops.net. Cory was named second-team all-league pick in the Greater Metro Conference as well as 2nd Team All Waukesha County. He averaged 12.4 points per game while helping Brookfield Central to a 18-6 record and a spot in the WIAA Division 1 State Tournament. He averaged nearly six free-throw attempts per game and shot 73 percent from the line. From father and Coach Degner, “He can really split the double team and get to the rim. I think that is his major strength. He can defend well, but he needs to work on his outside shot. He’ll have to put time in over the summer to improve in that area. He doesn’t look strong, but pound-for-pound he’s pretty strong and he can finish.”
