Erin is a Junior at North Branford High School, North Branford, CT. Erin presently plays for the CT Polar Bears U19 team and Girls' Co-op Ice Hockey team (Branford/North Branford/East Haven). Erin is a varsity starter at Right Wing. Erin has played for the CT Polar Bears for the last five seasons. Erin helped lead her high school team to the Division II SCC Conference Title for the 2013-14 season.

Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Erin wants to obtain her USA Hockey level one coaching certification so she can donate her time as a volunteer coach with a local youth hockey team.

Erin is a certified level one Lacrosse Referee and Ice Hockey Referee.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Erin is a respected family member, a student and then an athlete. School has always been a priority with Erin's parents. Erin has learned to schedule her school week around ice hockey, lacrosse and her many other activities. Erin always completes homework assignments prior to going to sports related events. Erin has great communication skills, works well with others and is consistantly able to multi-task.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Erin has donated her time to the Greater New Haven Warrior Hockey Organization and the CT. Shoreline Shark Hockey Organization learn to skate program. Erin works very well with the younger less skilled female mite level players. Erin teaches them the following skating skills: edges, proper stride technique, crossovers, stops and quick turns.
