Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

As a captain of my lacrosse team, I try to lead by example, not by words. By working hard in games and practice, I try to show that results come from listening, training and working together as a team.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

My sister graduated as a Nutritional Science major from Cornell University in 2014. She has helped teach me that a proper diet, along with conditioning and a weight program are what I need to stay strong, and keep up my endurance. There is no need for human growth hormones or sports enhancement drugs. By starting a health course early in my athletic career, I can get the benefits I need naturally and legally. This will also be of benefit when my athletic career is over.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I continue to work at the Las Vegas Mission feeding the homeless, and also work at Three Square packing lunches for unpriveledged and homeless families. My volunteer work helps me gain perspective and be thankful for all that my parents have been able to give me. My service work also helps me to understand that there are people living right near me that are in great need of help.
