Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

When my small town of Harrisburg Illinois was hit by a F4 tornado on the leap day of this year(2012), the next day I was out helping along side my father and my brother in the most damaged parts of the town. Giving a hand to those less fortunate then me.
I think I showed leadership by waking up every morning this summer at 5 a.m. to go run 2.5 miles with my High School soccer team, I usually pushed myself every morning that much harder to get better times, I usually finished 1st or 2nd every morning.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.
