I did not start one game this season due to a high ankle sprain in
the berea Christmas tournament. This was a coaching decision.
I taped up although he assured me he would not play me that game.
I wanted to be ready if my team needed me. Although it was painful
to walk on I wasn't going to let that get in the way of a win. 4th qtr
we were down by six and coach goes down on one knee in front of
me and asks " do you think you can run on it without pain?" My reply,
"no, but I can help us win through the pain coach.". 7 minutes and
16 pts later we walk off the floor with a win! My ankle was killing me
but the win was sure worth the pain. I will play hard as long as I have
air in my lungs.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

My Freshman year we were playing in our first district game Lawrence Co. v/s Magoffin Co. We were down
by 12 pts at the end of the first quarter. Our team seemed to loose it's way. I went in and scored 8pts and a senior scored 4 pts to get us back on track. I had 16 pts that game but the win put us in the finals and we got to go to region to play.

Off the court I just encourage my friends to study hard and make good grades. Some use the excuse of sports to slack a little. I think if you want to succeed you have to be the best on and off the court.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I am constantly running and lifting and working on my sports. I want to be the best athlete that I can be and I believe that I have to work harder than everyone else to get the things I want out of life. Nothing comes without a price. If I work hard and get stronger hopefully I can stay healthy all season and go without injury.
That is always my goal.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I volunteer with a basketball ball handling camp every Saturday. I volunteer with a local Vetrinarian at Tri-County Animal Clinic. I will also help with a haunted trail this fall to raise money for Fallsburgh Elementary.
I want kids to be the best they can be on and off the court anf field that's why I help with the ball handling and the haunted trail. I help at the clinic because I want to be a Doctor of Vet. Med.
