My name is Eric James Stevenson and I would like to thank you for this opportunity to introduce myself to you. I have been playing sports for over 10 years but my love for running has now developed into a passion at the high school level. I am a senior this year. I know its time for me to review my options for academic and athletic scholarships and gifts, and to be a part of a outstanding program. I hope to become part of an outstanding University and Team! I would truly love to be a part of it.
I take my academic studies very serious. I am known as "Superman Stevenson" I have been told I am, Clark Kent in the classroom and Superman, a man of steel on the field. I am very friendly and outgoing and respect everyone I come in contact with. What makes me unique is that I am a natural born leader and my motto separates me from other athletes. My Motto is, CCCC! Cool, Calm, Collected and Confident. Staying Cool, always level headed in all situations which keeps me Calm, and stress free. I keep Collected by accountability and always remain Confident in myself and my ability to continue to live a healthy and happy life style. I have great faith, I am Roman Catholic and as a Christian, I recognize continued blessings that I am so thankful for. I am thankful for my family, friends, team mates, coaches and all of my talents, along with new individuals I have come in contact with, that want me to succeed and together we can.
I have accomplished many of my goals during my high school years and continue to improve my times and obtain my personal goals, I set for myself. After breaking a 5 minute mile my freshman year. I continue to excel and reset my goals to continue to better my times. My senior goal of breaking the school record in the mile, which is set at 4:20 here at Granite Hills High School. http://www.ghhscougars.com/

I appreciate your time coach(es), at present time I have yet to decide on a major but I am looking into sports medicine, computer science, or physical therapy. I will narrow down my major soon. I am certain that my goals fit with those of most Colleges. While my choice of degree is still uncertain, I am 100% sure about my interest in great coaching and an outstanding University, my future goal will be to earn my 4 year degree, in 4 years! Trying to instead of leap a building in a single bound, I am trying to race that speeding bullet, to my target goal = 1mile run a 4:20 in the mile (currently running 4:31) in the 3mile 15:30 (currently at 16:17) :D Feeling Confident!
