Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

~Volleyball Captain: This is an honor and a huge responsibility, but a challege I am willing to take on. I love helping girls be the best that they can be, and reach their full potential.
~FCA Student Leader: Fellowship of Christian Athletes, during this I am responsible for my accountability group and this allows me to further not only my journey in knowing God by their journey as well.
~FBLA Officer: Placed 1st at State for 3 years, and 10th, 6th, and 2nd at the National level as well as being Reporter for 1 year.
~4-H Officer: Holding Offices as a Reporter for 3 years, Treasure for 2 years, and Vice President for 1 year, I have achieved milestones in the community with a lot of community service and great sportsmanship.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Sportsmanship. This is one of the many key words in a healthy athletic performance. Effort, communication, dedication, leadership and commitment are all essential when it comes to playing sports. Keeping a positive attitdue is a role that everyone needs to play. I like to bump peoples attitudes up by being a leader and setting the team up for success. By doing this, we hit off a great volleyball season and kill the competition!

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am actively involved in FBLA and 4-H and their community service. One particular community service in FBLA really stood out in my mind. For the past 5 years I have been involved in a project called Building A Legacy. I have helped with: a Telethon that raised $26,000 in a community of 2,000 people, folding letters, sending out advertisements, moving the Melissa Memorial Hospital equipment, picking up bricks from denver, writing grants for $20,000, sell personalized bricks and marble benches, and building a clock tower. This project was completed in the summer of 2011.
