Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

This past summer, I was a camp counselor at a summer camp I've attended since I was 8 years old, called Camp Allen. Over my 2 weeks there this past summer I, along with my co-counselor, were in charge of 5 girls for my first week and 9 girls for my second week. I was in charge of keeping them on schedule, and safe while still giving them the experiences that I enjoyed as a camper there when I was younger. I like to translate this side of my personality to the court by helping my team focus on our primary goals, but still having fun while we play our games.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

On and off the court, I portray a model student attitude because of my involvement in sports. During my games I am focused and respect my opponents. In school, I do not disrupt my class or do anything to give off the impression of a poor student. I think it is important to be a role model for the younger grades in my high school as well as the rest of the children in my small community

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am actively involved in my school's Leo Club, which is a community service project that helps my community's blood drives, parades, and helps several surrounding charities in my region.
