Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Every year I help out kids that have special needs who want to play baseball. It's called the challenger program through the little league. It has made me appreciate what is important and helped me have compassion for kids that have disabilities. I hope to be able to help with these kids even after high school. I have been a leader with in my baseball team as their starting catcher. I have mentored younger players as they have been called up to play Varsity.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Additional workouts after school and on the weekends are part of my main routine. My dad has made me an "old school" workout of hitting an old tractor tire with a sledge hammer & swinging a piece of rebar as a (weighted bat). I take protein shakes daily to help with muscle growth and weight gain and eat alot. I am now gaining weight & getting stronger to improve as an athlete.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Over the past summer I volunteered at the community education center and helped out kids with projects and activities. I have also volunteeded this year with Special Olympics & the local Challenger Baseball Program that helps kids with special needs play baseball.it's been a great experience helping these kids have fun in the game I love to play. I plan to continue helping out through out future years.
