I am a more defensive type of player that also has the ability to play further up the field and play with an outside midfielder. I love to get my head on the ball because that is what I am most comfortable using. I am also a person that loves to talk to my teammates and communicate with them on the field.

Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

On the field I try and work very hard to make sure that when one of my teammates is working hard to earn a starting role that I recongnize that and push them so that eventually they earn that starting role that they have been fighting for. One of my teammates really wanted to start his first varsity game so he began to run harder when we did our conditioning. So I began to make sure that he knew his hard work was not going unnoticed. Off the field I work to help others achieve their goals by helping them practice more or study when they need the help. One day my best friend came up to me with a goal that he wanted to acomplish by the end of the month so I made sure that I was over at his house every day making sure that he was doing the right thing and not cutting himself short.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I go to bed every night around 9:30 pm every night to make sure that I get enough sleep. I eat healthy foods like fruits and vegetables so that I can keep my metabolism up and not slow down. I work hard every practice so that I can stay in shape for games.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I serve my community by helping out at a dog shelter or at a soup kitchen couple of times a month. I believe that trying to help humans and even dogs to feel that they are still apart of something big helps that person or dog grow in heart and mind. If more people could do this then our world would be a great place to live in because no one would feel left out because they are not as high a class as someone else.
