Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
-
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.
-
Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am extremely involved in my church’s nursery, summer camps, and mission trips. I also help out in a 3rd grade class at a local elementary and play violin at a local elderly home. I think it’s important to help out with younger children. Not only does it make me feel appreciated and like I'm impacting someone’s life, but it also helps teach them social skills, improve their learning, and give them a role model to look up to. In addition, I like helping out the community on mission trips, whether around San Jose or farther away, because I love seeing other peoples' lives brighter and seeing them smile, knowing that someone cares about them. Lastly, I like performing at elderly homes because although some of them are not really certain of what's going on, it’s great to see the smiles on the faces of the few who do!
