Personal Highlights

This is my third year as a Varsity Point Guard, and the second year as League Champs averaging 6 ppg and 6 apg. 7 years of Travel Basketball, averaging 12 points per game, and 8 assists in AAU play. Strongest skill set is court vision and ball handling. Overall goal is to continue as a student athlete in college while obtaining a degree in Geology.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
-
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I participate in sports as means to manage my asthma. My parents learned when I much younger that the physical requirements of basketball allowed my lungs to develop to a point where I no longer visit the emergency room for asthma. The winters were the worst before I started playing travel basketball. My first season in the sport reduced my attacks by 75%. I rarely use my inhaler any more, and with my workout of running, weights, and healthy food choices I have made incredible changes to my healthy and physical fitness.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.
