I am a bit of a nerd... but I enjoy being that way. I'm an active member of my school's Whiz Quiz team, a local quiz bowl show.

Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

On the field, I'm always looking to help some of the weaker players on the team improve their fundamental skills. Off the field, I'm a Senior Patrol Leader for my scout troop, and I have to guide younger scouts along the path towards Eagle.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I always try to eat healthy, I am not a fan of fast food or drinks loaded with sugar, I maintain honor status as a student, and I try to remain active throughout a normal day.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I'm an active member of Boy Scouts and National Honor Society, and I believe it's always the right thing to do to serve the community. I'm very close to becoming an Eagle Scout, and am always up for serving in anything from small service projects to higher-scale ones.
