I am extremely Athletic, strong, coordinated and 100% injury free.
I just started long and triple jump my junior year so I know I will continue to improve my senior season.
The 4th time I ever competed in triple jump was at the state championships.
I am very good at relays 4x100 and 4x200. (running start excelleration good)
Not as good out of the blocks, thus open races times are not very competitive. 200M 27.7
I have great muscle memory and tend to pick up quickly on teqnique. My HS coach thinks I could also be competitve at throws as I am strong, technical and coordinated, although I have not tried them as I focus on jumps.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Junior year there was a case where two senior volleyball teammates walked off the court during a game, both for different reasons, one of them was my best friend at the time. I remained cool and calm and continued to play with all my heart. After the game the coach asked if any of us had anything thay wanted to discuss, it was silent. I bravely spoke and said " I think we need to pull together and just move on together" my coach was very impressed with how I handeled the ugly situation. In Track I always encourage my teammates. It is sometimes important to remind them that not every meet can be a PR meet, and when it is a PR meet it is important to relish the accomplishment. Hugs and fist bumps...all around !

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

A few of the ways I have helped in my community is by giving rides to younger athletes who for whatever reason do not have their drivers lisence or transportation. I want to make sure as many kids as possible can be involved and get to practice on time. I also pick up athletes and in some cases the team manager for weekend meets. I also volunteer and come as a role model and assistant for all the camps (Volleyball and Basketball) the high school holds for the Junior High Athletes, as well as I work the Junior High Track meets by timing or running the pits or the High Jump. Any day I was out of practice early I would swing by the middle school to the help and encourage them.
