Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

In the pool I demonstrate leadership by always positively cheering my team on. When the people I work out with excel and do well, so do I. Out of the pool I demonstrate leadership by being part of the student council and various other clubs. Many people get distracted outside of school and choose to make bad decisions but I work to keep my peers on track for a good future, just as they do for me.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I know what dangerous acts such as drinking alchohol and smoking does to an athlete so I pursue "healthy athletic performance" by staying away from them. I love to swim and I enjoy school so I make sure to work my hardest everyday at them.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am involved in my community by volunteering at my church as a Sunday school teacher. This is important to me because younger kids need a positive role model and I feel that I fill that role well. Not only do I educate them of my beliefs but I find myself learning from them each and every day.
