As a freshman, I was the captain on the Junior Varsity team. When I went into try-outs, Coach Steenhuysen told my that I would be the starting setter for the J.V. team. She assured me that in no time I would get it. By the time our season started, I was setting with ease. We played a 6-2, so I also gained a lot of experience as a right side. During the off season, I played for the FaR Out 15 Elite team. We placed 3rd in the Asics Junior National Tornament and 1st in the Michigan State Tornament. As A sophmore I was part of an 8 person starting rotation as 2nd defensive specialist/setter/right side. We were ranked 6th overall in the state. I am currently playing on the FaR Out 16 National team. We just qualified for nationals, so we will be going to Salt Lake City this summer!
