Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I have been known by my piers and friends that I lead by my actions. It hasn't been until this lat year that I've realized how much of an impact i can make. The 2010 season i was captain every game. To my team I demand respect ,and they respect me. I am a leader also at church, drama club, choir, and school.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I take care of myself in three different ways: mind, body, and spirit. My spirit is my weapon on the field. My mind helps me be where I need to be when I need to be there. My body is easy. I eat right and take no extra supplements. I train hard with my team. Conditioning is a big part of my advantage.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I think being involved in my community is important. I volunteer to work for my church on the weekends, and on Wednesdays I hold a position of leadership that is very important to me. I am encouraging and trying to get FCA started at my school. I workout at the city gym and I'm well known in the community.
