Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I show leadership skills in the water by leading both my club team and high school team. I am the most experienced on both teams, even though I am not the oldest, but I dislpay positive energy for both teams. I try to make hard sets fun by keeping the atmosphere light. It's always better with a good sense of humor. Out of the water, I keep my same sense of humor. I try to encourage not only myself but classmates to work hard in school

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I try to remain as healthy as posible. I eat a lot of fruit, and drink a large amount of skim milk. I never skip a meal, and I try to eat something immediately following a workout. I always try to get to bed ealy too. Rest is very important to health, and performing better in school and swimming.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am very involved in my Presbyterian Youth Group, and I volunteer in my church nursery on Sunday mornings. My fellow church members are like my second family since my church is small. The size only makes us closer to eachother. I am in my schools Service Club. We participate in donation projects, and volunteer our time to help the community. Service Club picks up trash, tutors elementary students, and even helps run blood drives.
