Personal Highlights

From Coach & Sports Editor:
Nahdeya (District's Defensive Player of the Year) comes to compete every game. Nahdeya entered the game matched up against one of the leagues top scores, Yorktown's Mikayla Venson (Co-Offensive Player of the Year) in the district. The challenge for Nahdeya was to control Venson and provide some offense. As always her hustle speakes for itself, she scored 10 points, pulled eight rebounds at 5'5 and 1 steal. However, she displayed a total game.

Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

On the court i lead my team by encouraging them, helping them understand plays, let them know its okay to make mistakes but its what they do to make upp for the mistake that really matters. Off the court i still encourage my team to get good grades, come to practice, work hard and try their best in everything they do.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

A healthy athletic performer is an athelete that works hard on the court and in the class room. They demostrate leadership, honesty, commitment and dedication.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am very involved in my community. Ive done the walk for the homeless every yr since 7th grade. I have made sandwhiches, fed the homeless, given the clothes, & toiletries. I have done a 30hr famine with my church; where we dont eat for 30hrs for support the people starving in Africa and all over the world. I Have also help with children who have special needs and disabilities. I have done much more and am working on helping and orphanage in Uganda Africa.
