Football Additional

Have been playing football for 6 yrs this yr is my 7th. Don't have career stats because haven't seen stats til my freshman yr of HS. All my years of football i have been played in a variety of positions. My youth football i was a lineman. When JH came i got shifted to a fullback and linebacker combo. I have decent hands but i don't get the ball during passing. I kick return and punt return on and off. I can kick and punt well.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

On the field i lead my team with a positive and confident attitude. I improve myself by improving them. I lead the defense in attack in any situation and I am the last one to hang my head. I also lead by not playing for just myself but for my community, my family, and the ones who are serving over seas because they are always one my mind. As for my community i believe in helping the youth and becoming their friend. I do this for the bettering of the future of Sibley Ocheyedan academics and athletics. I guide the younger kids to a path of right and hopefully make them forget about a wrong path, i show this kids how to do this by just my decisions because i know they watch over me jus as much as i watch over them.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

How i pursue healthy athletic performance. I pursue it by watching my diet and drinking water all through out the day. Working out is like a addiction to me because the best part about it is when the results start to appear. I thank protein after ever workout and condition like there is no tomorrow.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Well I am involved in many different ways. Such as being a Mentor to these children whose lives aren't the best. When people are down i help them out I am a great person to talk to because i know how to make things better. I also serve by helping others who cant do all things because of mobile issues. Some of the different things i do. On certain days i spend time with the people who don't have many friends. These efforts are important because i don't wanna go out with not knowing i made a life better. Nothing is better than the feeling that you made a difference in someones life. Not many people do, but the people who do i respect. I also feel that if i don't do these things that the i want be satisfied with myself. What drives me to do what i do is the reaction of the people when i tell them id rather do work and make the world better then hang out with my friends.
