Personal Highlights

I have been playing hockey for 6 years now, I know that it's not long but I believe that I am good enough to be taken onto a team. I've played for Taunton Vale Hockey Club for two seasons then moved to Taunton Civil Service two seasons ago and I have settled in quickly. I'm easy going and always aim to perform at my best which got me the Junior Ladies Player of the year 2010-2011 award which I'm really proud of.

Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Last year I took over coaching the year 9 goal keeper, as the main coach was off sick. The team managed to get into the county semi-finals because of my work within the team.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Being mentally, physically and socially healthy in order to perform at your best.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I coach boy's, girl's and mixed field hockey at the local secondary school (I often umpire the games, if an umpire is needed) also I coach the U10's team at my hockey club.
