Personal Highlights

Mackenzie is a very dedicated athlete. She works year round at her golf game and is willing to try new things to improve her skills. For only her 3rd year ever holding a club, she has had some great seasons. A great listener, leader, teammate and student, a coach would be very lucky to have her.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

"I lead my teammates on the course as the captain of our golf team. As the captain, I provide an example of hard work and focus, and I also encourage my fellow teammates to practice healthy eating habits and flexibility. I create team bonding events so we can focus on our goal of reaching state within my senior season. Off the course, I lead in the classroom by asking questions and helping my classmates."

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

"I work out 5-6 times a week at LA Fitness in Burnsville. During offseason from high school golf and Junior PGA summers, I focus attention on strengthening my upper body and my legs. During the season, I spend a lot of time doing yoga to help keep my flexibility up. I eat a healthy balance of protein and veggies throughout the year."

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.
