I have helped to coach a local youth team and have been a line judge for four years. I do not have my stats at this time, I will get them and update, soon.


I am currently a junior and I have played varsity soccer for three years. I have been captain for two years and the MVP for the last season. I was selected for the All NSC Team Award.

How I am involved in service in my community and why these efforts are important to me:

I am involved in several service groups at my high school. I am a participant in SADD, Varsity Club, Academic Honor Society, Junior Board, and French Club. I have also been a volunteer coach of a girls' youth team and have be a volunteer ref for the local soccer club. I enjoy helping out in the community and becoming part of my community. I have had many important people in my life who I met because they volunteered to help coach, lead or sponsor and activity I have been and I want to play a role in the lives of others in the same way.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. One example of how I have demonstrated leadership in both areas:

I have been the captain of the varsity soccer team for two years. In that position I have lead the team on the field as well as off. Last season we were without a coach for a while, I gathered the team at my house and organized unofficial practices, focusing on basic skills and endurance training. We worked hard in this manor and came together as a team and were prepared when a coach was found to lead our team. I also am a big proponent of good sportsmanship and lead the team in that direction. As captain I feel it is my responsibility to welcome incoming freshman and to go to the practices of the seventh and eighth grade teams and begin building a bridge there as well.
I am also on the Junior Board and am currently part of the group organizing the prom for our school. We are trying to create a memorable experience while working within a small budget. However, because our focus is on having fun and making memories, rather than having the best of everything I believe we will be success

How I pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete:

I am very health conscience, both physically and mentally. I try hard to eat properly and get enough rest to support my athletic performance and daily life. In fact due to my interest in healthy living I hope to pursue a degree in dietary science and a minor in culinary arts. Recently I have had difficulty maintaining a healthy mental attitude, due to a recent traumatic event I have been struggling. However, I am working with my parents, doctor, coaches and guidance counselor to get back on track. Being part of a team has always been a natural thing for me and it took me off guard to experience these strong feelings of anxiety. I have always seen myself as a tough athletic girl, not vulnerable in any way, I am learning that it is okay to feel certain feelings and that I can lean on others in my life. I believe that these lessons will serve me well as I continue my athletic career.
