Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am very competative on and off the field but, know that having a positive and encouraging attitude is the only way to have success as a team, an athlete, and a person. I try to remain positve with my teammates no matter if we are winning or loosing. I also try to be fair and understanding with my friends and family. Not saying I'm perfect or that I don't get angry sometimes.... but for the most part I try to stay positive and remain a team player.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I have been an athlete in several different sports since I was 10 years old. I know the importance of having a healthy diet to keep my body in shape and ready for the demands of sports. I have never and would never pollute my body by using drugs.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I have been involved in the Relay for Life cancer walk for the past 3 years. I have participated in the road clean-up for clean communities and the interact club to distribute holiday meals to the needy. I feel it's very important to be involved in protecting our environment and helping the needy in our community. We should always be willing to lend a helping hand to those who are less fortunate than us.
