Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

As the captain of my golf and basketball teams I feel I have shown leadership not only on the playing fields but in the classroom. I help organize team dinners and activities. I have also reached out in our high school to get more girls involved in our sports.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I am a proponent of time management, being rested, properly fueled, and working hard in practice and out to maintain a high fitness level.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am currently involved in our communities Silver Cord Program, which involves volunteer work in several service areas such as: class room support, hands on community service, and religious outreach. I also serve as a mentor in our community mentoring program. I feel that it is important to give back to the community and to serve as a role model to the kids I am able to work with. Student Council is another area where I serve and lead my peers. I have been inducted into National Honors Society and am currently participating in service efforts such as garbage pick-up, blood drives, and other community outreach efforts.
