Tennis Additional

I have only been playing tennis since the beginning of my sophomore year season. My sophmore year was rough because both me and my partner were playing Varsity tennis for the first time and it was my first year, his second. We played 1 doubles. We went 4-11 that season. Then my junior year was a great year for tennis. Me and my 1 doubles partner, Max Wampler (our 1 singles this 2012 season), went 18-0 during the regular season and 2-0 in sectionals, then lost in regionals to a great Zionsville team. This year I chose to play 1 doubles again instead of fight for the 1 singles spot. I love to play doubles, especially because I love playing at the net. So far me and my new partner, Philip Beaver, are getting used to playing as a team. He has never played Varsity before and he is a senior, so with his inexperience at the Varsity level, I have helped him learn how to play doubles the way me and Max dominated last season (2011). We still have a lot to do before sectionals and get the problems solved before the end of the season. We went 16-3 on the season, but my partner and I believe that we should still be undefeated and that if we played the teams we lost to again, we would beat them.
I also swim and I love to swim just as much as I love to play tennis!!

Other Academic Information
In all honesty, my freshman year of high school and part of my sophomore year, I didn't achieve my highest academic level. I didn't realize, at the time, that grades affect the perspective of colleges and coaches as well as opportunities in my life. Now that I am a junior in high school, I have been pursuing my best academic level and have been raising my accumulative G.P.A.

I work at my church's food pantry on Wednesdays, if I have the time and I also work at fish fry's on Fridays during the lent season. My service at the food pantry lasts an hour and a half each time and my service at the fish fry lasts two and a half to three hours each time.
