Wrestling Additional

Its hard for me already as it as to be out there and wrestling the toughest guys ever. but i give myself credit for that. i love wrestling, its something that im truely proud of. i love the fact that if i win agaisnt a boy, its because I fought hard, I wrestled better, and most importantly, I had the biggest heart for the sport. if i ever get a scholarship for wrestling, ill be suprised. im not trying to sound cocky, but i guess im good at it. so far , ive wrestled for a school team for three years and counting and for a club for two years. i have great hips and whenever im on bottom, i give it my all. my favorite moves are the bundle, stack, shuck back, standing switch, cement mixer, and many more. without my middle school coaches, i wouldnt be the great wrestler i am today. thank you coach jeremy engh and coach yancee ash from culpeper middles school.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

On the field i demonstrated leadership by helping my teammates fill in the empty spots. When i take notice that a play needs to go on, i do just that. I set up the play and i help my team score. I help my teammates in any way that i can. On and off the field, I am a friend to all of my teammates. I'm always there for them and helping them with whatever they need. I demonstrate leadership off the field by helping my teachers during class. If no one is listening, i help the teacher get everyone to be quiet. I think that having leadership qualities is important because not only does it help you become more confident in yourself, but you develop more of an individuality.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

While im not in spring season for highschool lacrosse, i play on a summer club team called Battlelax. It helped strength wise and my coach taught me new skills. For the fall, i play on a Triple Edge lacrosse team. What i also do is that i go to the gym and work on my cardio by running on the treadmill at different speeds then i work on my strength training 2-3 times a week.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Some ways that I'm involved in my community is that i volunteer with my church to help fix elderly people's houses, i also help with feeding the homeless, and help providing a place to stay or more clothing. I believe that it is important to help others in your community because it provides a others to know how caring you are.
