Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
-
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.
-
Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I have been a volunteer for Libertyville Stars Special Olympics Swim Team since freshman year (14 years old, fall 2009). I volunteer every Sunday for 1.5 hours with other high school students to coach people with disabilities. This organization is important to me because I am able to share my gifts to aid others less fortunated than myself. This is my second year partcipating in Relay For Life with the American Cancer Society for my school and this year I am a captain of my own team and on the Publicity Committee for the event. I participate in this event because it is an easy way to help others battling with the disease. I am devoted to serving my community and I am and active participant in all of my activities.
