I love volleyball. I can't see my life without volleyball in it. The next obvious step for me is college volleyball. Both of my sisters played high school volleyball and one played club volleyball with many offers to play in college. She regrets not accepting offers to play in college now because she misses the sport a lot. She wanted to focus on her studies, but I can do both and still succeed. I have been playing club since age 10. I have always played up one year and feel that even though I'm younger than my club teammates, I stand out and act as an impact player on the court.
I am a leader. I am 2 time high school captain and 6 time club captain. I know what needs to happen to win on and off the court. For example, I earned an A+ in pre-calculus and an A- in Statistics during this last semester. It was hard work, but I set goals in the most difficult classes and I did it. I inspired my friends to do the same and they also accomplished their goals.
I pursue healthy athletic performance by eating right and making sure I’m ready to compete. I take safety precautions on and off the court. I understand that I have to measure myself and have all of my energy throughout matches and not run out of gas. I learned this from Lebron James. He’s great all the time, but always saves his body by measuring his performance.
I volunteer at the Twinsburg library in the children's department. I want to be a pediatrician or sports medicine physician. I am in a foreign language club, black history club, pep club, drama club, worked at a food charity event, homecoming committee, and various middle school events. I also volunteer at an elementary school throughout the year. Volunteering is important because helping others makes everyone better and I love kids.
