Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I try to encourage and motivate my teammates. I lead by example and I work hard in the practice room and on the mat. I encourage my friends to do the same. Off the field I am a leader through the Choices Leadership Program which helps the school system and community. I am part of KSLA and we undertake service projects for the schools and community every year. I also volunteer at my local YMCA and with the youth wrestling programs we have started through Batesville High School.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I make sure I maintain a high GPA, I spend many hours drilling and training to become the best that I can be. I perform as well as I can in the classroom, on the field, and on the mat.
I make sure I practice a healthy diet all year round and exercise. I want to earn a wrestling state title for my school and I put many hours of hard work into that particular goal of my athletic career.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I serve my community by helping in my parish, at my school, volunteering at various establishments such as the YMCA, Lodge Breakfast, and other sites. I am a member of the Choices Leadership Program. I am a member of KSLA and we perform multiple services for the school system and community throughout the year. I also volunteer with my parish's youth Bible Camp over the summer. These efforts are dear to me because I love my hometown and I want to see a thriving and proud city.
