Basically a description of my past two seasons as Varsity Keeper.
Sophmore Year was my first year on Varsity. The newspapers had us not even reaching .650 record nor did they have us going to the Regional Finals. We started off strong the first part of the season really strong going on a 7 game win-streak. It came to a hault when we played for the District Championship (North Bayside Championship) 0-3. Then we started up a win-streak that extended into the Regional Play-Offs and only getting scored on twice. In the semi-finals we played Kent Island at home. It went into Double Overtime with 26.3 seconds to go beforre pk's. We moved onto the Regional Finals where we played Queen Annes who we lost the District Championship to earlier in the season. We scored 10 min. into the first half, which no other team had done all season. I had 7 saves in the first half, 3 of them on 1 on 1 break-aways.Second half came around and I had 5 saves during that half. With 20 min to go, they scored 2 goals within 4 min. Then our season came to a end. 12-2-1 6 shut-outs
Junior Year on Varsity started out pretty tough. Teams that we played the season previous that we beaten 7-0 or 4-1, ended up takin us down to the wire. First game started out with a 1-0 win over Crisfield. I had a pk save and 4 break-a-way saves. The next game was against Mardela who we beat 2-0 and I had another pk save. We went on a 7 game win streak. We had a Play-Day at our school with Bo-Manor who would eventually go on to states and Saints Peter and Paul. We beat both of them. We went on to get eliminated in the first-round of playoffs. 10-5-0 8 shut-outs
