I am a well rounded leader. On the courts, I often lead my teams stretches, runs, and conditioning workouts. My coach can ask me to do something, and I do it to the best of my ability. I am also a leader off the courts as well. If I know I am supposed to do something,I make sure its taken care of without having to be told. I encourge others positively on the courts and off.
I pursue a healthy athletic performance by living a low-stress and healthy lifestyle. I know that what's put in your body is exactly what will show in your performance. Therefore, I eat large variety of vegetables and fruit, eggs, and chicken. I run at least 5 times a week. In additon, I enhance my flexibility through stretching and increase my strenght through resistance training. I also make sure to get a good nights' sleep at least 9hrs. I drink plenty of water and powerade so I can stay hydrated.
I volunteer at Sunday school once every two weeks. Also, I volunteer 12 hours every summer at the Vacation Bible School at Community Fellowship Christian International. I also voluntarily coach Monday - Friday for the 10 and under athletes at the Peterson School of Tennis during the summer. I assist the kids on their forehands, backhands, ball control, rotation, and good sportsmanship. I also teach a small class on the importance of nutrition and making healthy life choices.
