Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I strive to lead on and off the field constantly. I am a member of my school's NHS and SGA Treasure. I was named a captian in my 2010 lacrosse season for high school. Pushing others to be their best brings out the best in myself and I'm working to be the best and motivate my teammates as well as my friends to stay focused and on the right road in academics.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

As an athlete that has suffered and recovered from 2 ACL tears from sports, I constantly stress eating healthy, stretching properly, icing down regularly and training to decrease percent of injury. You can only push yourself so much and if things aren't right in your body you can suffer injuries that put a stop to your athletic career. I know that all too well unfortunatly and I always make sure that I am taking the right steps to become stronger and have all the energy I need to compete highly on the athletic field.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I've always been service involved whether it was through my school SGA or NHS to my church and being involved with sports. Community service has built who I am and who I am becoming. It opens so many opportunities to me by participating. I have helped the Maryland Special Olympics and local food banks through school and church. I have also coached and assisted multiple lacrosse camps and clinics to bring the sport to the youth in my area.
