Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I try to help with anyone that needs it. Weather it be in table tennis (where I play at a fairly high level), or in class, I am always glad to give instruction to improve myself and anyone that needs assistance.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

My father Michael is a nutritionist and holistic medical doctor. My mother Robin is a yoga instructor. Over the course of my childhood, middle-school life, and now in high school, we have kept ourselves healthy, and physically fit. My parents taught me the importance of goof health from an early age and it has always stuck with me.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I have just started to participate in the midnight-run where a group of people, including myself, drive into New York City at night to talk to homeless people as well as give them clothing, and meals. I also shave my head to raise cancer awareness. Midnight-run is important to me because I realize that these people living on the streets don't get any attention from people and they really want someone to talk to and share their stories with. Shaving my head for cancer awareness is important to me because a family member learned that she had cancer and I came to an understanding that something terrible, like learning that you have cancer, can happen to anyone.
