Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am involved in the Student Government at my school. I am an active member of the House of Representatives, and a past member of the Advisory Representatives. In these positions I have helped emphasize students' voices in my school's government as well as give input and suggestions on future bills and laws in student government. Before high school, I served as my school's Student Government Secretary and Class Representative.

I am one of the oldest divers on my diving team, so I always try to take younger divers under my wing and give them advice and support! I know how it feels to be new to a sport and learning new things, so I can relate to how they feel! I help coach them and keep them all under control during our diving meets, as well as push them toward learning newer and more difficult dives!

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Being balanced is a huge thing for me. If i am not able to balance school and diving, I tend to underperform in both! To avoid that I do my homework during my free periods in school so that i can minimize my work load for when I get home from diving at night. I try to eat as healthily at possible to keep my body in prime condition. I always put school first, but most of the time I am able to devote equal amounts of time to both academics and athletics!

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am a member of the Community Service Club at my high school. I participate and attend meetings as often as possible. I have gone to many service days through out high school including cleaning up the areas surrounding the Delaware River and cleaning up LBI beaches after Hurricane Sandy. I have helped teach physical education classes at Our lady of Sorrows catholic school in Mercerville. This summer I will be volunteering at local animal shelters to care for cats and dogs and find homes for them.
