Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Off the ice I concentrate on my studies and am a member of the honour role for my first year in highschool. I was also an honour role member and athlete of the year in grade 8.

On the ice, I have a part time job with the local power Skating instructor and enjoy teaching younger players how to skate and play hockey.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Fitness and nutrition are very important to me. I eat balanced meals and work out routinely. On game days I hydrate and eat carb and protein rich meals.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Our school requires us to complete 40 hours of community service as part of our studies and as a graduation requirement. However I don't do it because i'm required to, I do it because I enjoy it. I volunteer time every Summer at a goaltending school to help train goalies. My role is mainly to take shots on the goalies.
