Other Academic Information
I have held down a part-time job since sophomore year, on top of Student Council, tennis, and difficult classes. I'm good at having a packed schedule and still performing well at what I'm involved in.

Personal Highlights

I have been playing tennis since age nine. Back when I first started, I would play casually with my mom and dad outside. I took lessons on and off as well. I played on a high school team in Ocoee, Florida and was #3 my freshman year. The summer before sophmore year, we moved to Kansas City. My school here is too small for a tennis team. However, I have been playing tennis consistently for the past four years. At the beginning of my junior year, I started taking lessons at Hilltop Racquet Club and have been playing there ever since. This past summer, I played every day and this year I practice at least four times a week. I won G18s in one of Hilltop's tournaments last year. This year, I will be playing a lot more USTA tournaments and will update this site with my results! I'd love to play for your team.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

At my group classes at Hilltop Racquet club, my coach will often ask me to lead the warm up or put me in charge when he has to leave for a minute. I'm usually the first person to introduce myself when someone new joins our class. Outside of tennis, I find myself naturally leading group projects in school. For my Leadership and Entrepreneurialism class this year, I was elected CEO unanimously. In this class, we are creating our own business. As CEO, I will be heading up all of the departments of marketing, sales, finance, and logistics.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I prioritize tennis and academics equally. I think good sportsmanship is incredibly important for every athlete. I am a good winner and a good loser.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

My freshman year, I played piano on a worship team for my church. Since then, I have not had a lot of time for organized volunteering. However, I pick up trash whenever I see it in parks or along roads, recycle everything I can, and volunteer to serve at school functions. Giving back to my community is important to me because I love helping people.
