I made varsity my freshman year and received the Wolf Award. We made it to the final four, but lost in the semi-finals. My junior year, I led my team to the playoffs, but we lost in a close game in the round of 16 to the defending champions. That year, I also received Honorable Mention All District, the only setter to make All District.
I am a leader on the court because I am the setter or libero, and without either of those positions, no points could be scored. Teammates look up to me because of my experience and they channel their energy off of mine. I like to lead on the court by example. I know that there are people with problems in their life and if they see me pull through struggles, I hope they can do the same.
I love my sport, easy as that. I want to play in college because I love the game and I am very competitive. I train almost everyday by either playing the game or working out the muscles necessary to improve my game. Working out my legs and core is a big part of the game, so I try to improve my strength. My passion for the game keeps me going and keeps the fire going inside of me to strive for excellence .
I participate in our schools NHS club which requires us to preform community service 30 hours a year, and it is the easiest 30 hours I could do. Its important for me because it is important to give back.
