Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am a leader on the court/field/course because I am always there for my team mates. I constantly encourage them when they are down, and this not only helps them, but make me feel good for my team and myself. I lead in the classroom by setting a good example for those around me. I am a leader around my friends because I encourage them to make the right choices in life.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I pursue a healthy athletic performance by side stepping peer pressure. I avoid alcohol and other drugs because I know that they will not benefit me in any way. I know that if I do these things, it will not help my athletic or academic performances. I stay healthy by eating right and of course engaging in athletic activities nearly everyday.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am involved in my community in numerous ways. I am always looking for new opportunities to help those in need and help them thrive. Every year my town puts on a "Christmas in the Park"; a completely free event for those in the community. I have helped with this event every year since it has started, and each year I get more out of it. The joy that lights up in young peoples faces' brings me the pleasure of Christmas spirit. This event is very dear to me because it is my favorite way to volunteer and give back to the county.

I also have worked at a "Futures" tournament for two years. I help out by being a ball kid on the court. I also plan to attend the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami in March 2013 to give my time as a ball kid there again this year.

Additionally, I am working on becoming a volunteer at the local Humane Society.
