I believe I have the necessary traits to balance academic and athletics in college. I strive to be the best I can be and want to achieve the most I can while in college. Playing in college will not only be a proud moment in my life, but will assist me in forging my future through perseverance when challenged in life. It take a special student to play a colligate sport and still maintain high academic standards....I am one of those students!
This year I am a Proctor, a student who is in charge of the dorms along with a dorm parent. I make sure the students are following the rules and ensure they keep to the regimented study periods within the dorm. To be a Proctor, you must demonstrate maturity, responsibility and are able to communicate between the dorm parents and students.
I am focused on maintaining high standards for education and when I am not in class or studying, I maintain a workout regiment that ensures I am ready for my sport endeavors. I also feel I can easily socialize with my peer group and feel no peer pressure to do things I feel are detrimental to my academic or athletic career.
