Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am on the FCA Leadership Team. I was voted by the rest of the club to be a member of the leadership team due to my "tenacity and determination on the field and in everyday life". I am a very committed person, I give my all in everything I am involved in. Not because I want people to notice me or because I want the glory but because I want to be the best I can be for my teammates and those around me.

I have been the captain of the throwers on my school track team since my sophomore year. I was voted into this position by my teammates. I do my best to lead by example and by having a personal relationship with everyone on the team.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I have been voted by my classmates to represent our grade on the Community Service Board for the past two years (Sophomore and Junior). This is important to me because it allows me to make a difference in not only my school community, but the greater Tulsa community. Being elected by my peers is very special to me because it is constant reminder of who I am representing and trying to improve the community for.

I am on the fundraising board for the Margaret Hudson School, a school for pregnant or teen mothers to continue to get an education. This is very important to me because I believe that my generation, and those generations after mine, are the future of our country. To be a productive society we need these generations to be educated. Every child deserves an eduction or the opportunity to get an education. The country's future will be very bright if its inhabitants are educated and prospering.

I also volunteer at the local Food Bank when I get a free weekend, or around my school whenever the opportunity presents itself. I believe that because I have been blessed to be so fortunate that it is my duty to give back to community. Because helping others can truly create a better society for us all to live in. We should focus on bringing everyone up and raising our productivity as a whole, united community, not just ourselves.
