Personal Highlights

My parents have taught me the importance of having a good work ethic so I work very hard on and off the field. Softball has been my passion since I was five years old and I believe with hard work and strategic planning my goals, dreams, and aspirations can become a reality. I’m working towards graduating from high school with an honors diploma so I may attend a highly credited university as well as playing softball at a collegiate level. My major is currently undecided but I’m considering a career as a pharmacist as well as speaking Spanish as a second language.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
-
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.
-
Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I work two days a week at Walgreens and outside of work and school I participate in the Spanish Club, Prom Committee, and FCCLA. I've also been on Mission trips such as Grundy Virginia Orphanage, participated in the Cinderella Project and Relay for Life. My most recent volunteer work has been with the Redwood Rehabilitation Center/Giving Tree at Christmas and participated in a fashion show for the Diabetes Foundation. This spring I am traveling to Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica and will be volunteering at the Kids Saving The Rain Forest/Monkey Sanctuary where I will be able to practice my spanish. I enjoy volunteering because not only am I giving back to my community, I am learning life long lessons that will help me grow into a better person.
