Personal Highlights

My name is Michael Scott. Swimming is my main sport but in addition to swimming I am a varsity lacrosse player. My role models are Brendan Hansen, my grandfather and my father. My goal is to swim in college and go into a career as a lawyer eventually running my family law firm

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am a chief petty officer in njrotc which requires a big leadership role. I am also president of the young democrats club. In swimming I display leadership by helping the less experienced swimmers with technique.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I am devoted to my grades and swimming. School always comes first. After school I swim 5 days a week and train with a trainer 3 days of the week. I also am on a very healthy diet and eat only what is healthy to my body avoiding soda saturate fat. Finally I do not do drugs because it is illegal and it would interfere with my athletic performance

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

In my community I try to do as much as I can because I like to give back. In njrotc we do many projects like assisting older veterans, mulching the school and helping those less fortunate. I also volunteer for farming for hunger which is an organization to et food for the hungry. Finally I am a member of national honor society in which our focus is to give back to the community.
