Luke is currently playing for the Middlesex Bears. Coach Stephen and Greg Piatelli.

Luke is currently playing on Bishop Watterson High School Hockey team. The team is in its 5th year. They opened the year winning three scrimmages. They opened the regular season with a loss to St Francis DeSales 7-2. Luke scored a goal and had an assist. He also has three shots hit the cross bar. Watterson was hurt by three turnovers leading to 3 goals by the opponent. They are working hard to correct these back end turnover this week in practice. Luke has suggested several drills to help this young team compete. Lost to St Charles 9-1 Luke had lone goal. Beat Cincinnati Elder 8-3 Luke had three goals and one assist. Blocked two shoots with body. Beat undefeated Gahanna Luke had 3 goals and 2 assists. Also beat Olentangy 5-1, Luke had 2 goals and one assist.
Talawanda upset Watterson 8-6, Luke had 4 goals and one assist. Also scored 5 more goals and two assists in two other games the weekend of 1-18-2014.

Ice Hockey Additional

Luke has great vision on the ice and is a great and unselfish passer. He has a very good understanding of the game, plays and where players should be. A great team player who works hard and is an excellent skater.
Back playing this week in the CBJ Club championship tourney in Columbus. We played well but lost 2 of 3 in very close games.

Luke has played hockey since he was 8 years old along with many other sports.. He broke his ankle in 8th grade. He played his freshman year at St Charles Prep in Columbus Ohio. His Sophomore year he made varsity but was again injured early on and then we discovered a small memory issue. This has been corrected and he since has transferred to Bishop Watterson High school where they have helped him thrive. Luke is taking an APP Marketing course where the students study stock market and work, help manage the school spirit store. He has excelled in this class and really enjoyed this class.

Personal Highlights

Luke has made the Middlesex Bears team for the 2014 season. He will compete with the Black Bears and takes calles at Marimack College next fall.

Luke is a hard working good matured young man. He works well with others. In his final High School season he is with Bishop Watterson High school who is in their 5th year with a hockey program. He is both a mentor to the younger skaters but leads by example in practice and in the locker room. This season started with a 7-2 loss to DeSales. Luke had 1 goal and one assist. He also had three shots on goal hit the crossbar. Good checks and blocked several shots with his body. Superb Friday night game against Talawanda HS. Watterson won 8-6, Luke has 4 goals and one assist. He also had 5 goals and 3-4 assists in two more games the weekend of 1-18-2014.

Luke is doing 4 hours a week of community service while living in North Andover Mass. The Middlesex black Bears live together in a house just off campus from Merrimack College. The service varies each week, cleaning up trash and reading to young students.
