Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

With all the values of good leadership I learned during my basketball years, I commonly saw myself making similar notions off the court. I learned that the key to a good basketball team started off with team chemistry and good communication. I took those characteristics and utilized it in my classroom. I realized that drawing in those leadership skills increased my overall performance in the classroom. I strongly associate with the idea that there is a positive corellation in the effects of leadership in basketball and at school.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I pursue "healthy athletic performance" by being pro-active in things like nutrition, injury awareness, and even my everyday student life. The best athlete to be is in fact the student-athlete and that has been my pursuit since I started playing sports.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am currently enrolled in a service learning program which serves for the benefits of elementary students. We put a heavy emphasis on finding a plan in an attempt to reduce injuries that happen in the playgrounds. These efforts are extremely important to me because our beloved youth shouldn't have to worry about being injured when given the time to get active and have fun.
