Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I have demonstrated being a leader on the soccer field by always trying not only my best, but pushing past my limits in practices. I show sportsmanship, cooperation, and a positive attitude as well, which I believe are important roles in being a leader. Off the field, I tend to help out others however I can, whether it's explaining a math problem, lending money for lunch, or standing up for someone who isn't being treated properly.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I constantly pursue healthy athletic performance as a student-athlete by remembering the one thing about sports: having fun. If you're not having fun, then why would you play? I enjoy working hard because I believe it is fun and it will lead you nowhere but up. I also believe a healthy athletic performance is keeping your grades up, so that you're working hard both academically and physically.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am involved in my school's National Honor Society and Key Club, where we help out our community. I am also an employee of my community, where I started volunteering for a summer camp in the past. I am also employed at a nearby Adidas Outlet Factory Store. Taking part in my community is important because it is the community I grew up in, and this community has lead me to positive outcomes throughout my life, and I am always more than happy to give back to my community.
